1610 Consulting · Senior Bookkeeper Opening
Help bring order, clarity, and confident ownership to bookkeeping work that clients rely on.
1610 Consulting is hiring a Senior Bookkeeper who is strong in QuickBooks Online, comfortable with cleanup work, and ready to take ownership of recurring bookkeeping process, communication, and follow-through.
We serve Kingdom-minded companies that want financial clarity, trustworthy support, and a financial partner who actually shows up. This role matters because the work affects real owners, real teams, and real decisions.
Compensation
This role is scoped for approximately 20 hours per week, offers flexibility in how work is completed, and is positioned for someone who can own work rather than simply assist with tasks.
What matters most
Judgment, strong communication, and real QuickBooks depth.
We care deeply about character and teachability, but this role does require meaningful bookkeeping strength, cleanup capability, and an ownership mindset from the start.
Responsibilities and outcomes
This role combines cleanup capability with real process ownership.
Core responsibilities
Own recurring monthly bookkeeping workflow across assigned clients with consistency and follow-through.
Handle cleanup work inside QuickBooks Online when books are behind, messy, or unclear.
Complete and review reconciliations, flag unusual activity early, and document open questions clearly.
Respond to client and team bookkeeping questions professionally and within 24 hours.
Use software, systems, and AI-enabled tools wisely to improve quality, efficiency, and communication.
First 90 days
In the first 90 days, we want this person to learn the workflow, understand client file structure, and take meaningful ownership of bookkeeping workflow, complete cleanup work with sound judgment, and become a reliable point of support for client-facing bookkeeping questions.
Tools used
Core values
The work should look like the values.
Stewardship, Integrity, Clarity, and Partnership are not decorative language here. They shape how we expect books to be handled, how questions should be raised, and how clients should be served.
Stewardship
Managing what has been entrusted to you with excellence, care, and integrity.
Integrity
Doing the right thing, asking good questions, and protecting trust when details matter.
Clarity
Making the complex simple so both clients and teammates understand what happened and what comes next.
Partnership
Walking alongside clients and the team with responsiveness, follow-through, and shared ownership.
Ideal candidate profile
We are looking for someone capable, trustworthy, and calm under real client work.
This role may fit well if...
You are strong in QuickBooks Online and can work through cleanup situations without getting rattled when the books are messy.
You can own a bookkeeping process, not just complete isolated tasks when someone tells you exactly what to do.
You communicate clearly, respond promptly, and understand that trust is built through follow-through.
You are comfortable learning and using technology fully, including AI where it genuinely improves the work.
Baseline qualifications
U.S.-based and available for team and client communication within CST, with flexibility in how work is scheduled around that overlap.
Advanced working strength in QuickBooks Online.
Experience with reconciliations, transaction review, and cleanup work.
Strong written communication and solid judgment when information is incomplete.
Construction-industry experience or exposure to Double or Keeper is a plus, not a requirement.
